ePOS Group

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????“When I bought the business it was my first step into the technology market and I was always very clear that it would be a platform to develop a more substantial operation that could deliver an exit for me and the rest of the shareholders at the right time. 17 years later we thought that time had come and we were ready to go.

We appointed John to advise us and what was really interesting was that he persuaded us to step back and look at the business before moving on too quickly. This was extremely valuable because, working with John, we identified that certain areas of the business were underperforming but with a bit of re-focus we could bring it round, improve results and ultimately increase the value of the company.

When we got into the sale process John’s work was invaluable. He searched across the globe until we found the right buyer in the Jonas Group and then carefully negotiated, structured and project managed the deal to a successful completion. Along with the rest of the management team at ePOS, I knew I could rely on John and, just as importantly in such a challenging exercise, we all really enjoyed working with him”

Steve Boyes – Managing Director and Owner of ePOS Developments Limited

ePOS Group, one of the UK’s leading Electronic Point of Sale businesses was purchased by Jonas Software in a multi-million pound deal advised by Skye Corporate Finance Limited.

ePOS was established over 40 years ago and secured a strong position in the hospitality, bakery and other retail sectors where its in-house developed software and systems ensure that customer transactions are safely and swiftly completed and recorded.

Jonas is part of Constellation Software Inc based in Canada and operates over 50 independently managed software businesses across the globe, many of which have been secured through acquisition, with a focus on the Hospitality and Industrial market verticals.

Skye Corporate Finance was appointed by the shareholders of ePOS Group initially to assess the status and value of the company. Thereafter Skye led a controlled sales process, targeting potential purchasers and then negotiating structuring and project managing the transaction to completion.
